The DSL Systems office fit out was completed by Advanced Commercial Interiors at DSL Systems’ new premises in Beeston, Nottingham, transforming the first floor into a modern, practical and well-organised workplace.
The project focused on the fit out and reconfiguration of the existing first-floor office space, helping DSL Systems create a working environment that could support open-plan working, private meetings, video calls and everyday staff facilities. The completed works included a glazed boardroom, three individual Teams rooms, new office furniture, a new tea point, feature boardroom wall panelling, upgraded WC vanity units, new floor boxes, data cabling and associated electrical works.
A key requirement of the DSL Systems office fit out was to make better use of the available floorplate while maintaining an open, light and professional feel throughout the space. ACI achieved this by combining a large open-plan desking area with glazed meeting spaces, individual Teams rooms and a refreshed boardroom, creating a balanced layout that supports both collaboration and focused work.

The Brief
DSL Systems required a complete office fit out for the first floor of their new premises in Beeston, Nottingham. The aim was to turn the existing space into a fully operational workplace with dedicated areas for open-plan desking, meetings, private calls, staff facilities and breakout use.
The brief included the creation of a large open-plan working area with new desks, task chairs, storage and desk-mounted screens. Alongside this, DSL Systems needed enclosed spaces for meetings and focused work, including a glazed boardroom and three individual Teams rooms with glass fronts.
The client also wanted to improve the supporting facilities within the office. This included a new tea point, updates to the existing WC areas, new vanity units, hand dryers and selected cubicle works. Electrical and data requirements were also central to the brief, with new and relocated floor boxes needed to suit the proposed desk layout.
In addition to the practical requirements, the DSL Systems office fit out needed to enhance the overall look and feel of the workplace. Feature carpet tiles and decorative timber panelling were included within the boardroom to create a more polished and professional meeting space.
The Solution
ACI delivered a full DSL Systems office fit out package, covering:

The works began with enabling and preparation, including the removal of existing tea point elements, sinks, vanity units and internal partitions where required. Existing carpets were protected during the works, with flooring patched and floor boxes relocated to suit the new furniture layout.
New partitioning was installed to form the required rooms and working areas. This included 97mm solid partitioning with insulation and plasterboard, as well as 12mm toughened glass partitions for the boardroom and three Teams rooms. Each Teams room was fitted with a glass door leaf, aluminium door frame, self-closing hinges and stainless steel D handles, creating private spaces for calls and meetings while allowing light to pass through the office.
The boardroom was upgraded with extended glazed partitioning, feature carpet tiles and decorative timber wall panelling to support the installation of a TV. These finishes helped give the room a more refined and professional appearance, suitable for internal meetings and client-facing use.
A new tea point was supplied and installed, including a stainless steel sink and drainer, Quooker instant boiling water tap, integrated dishwasher, integrated fridge, base units, wall cupboards, worktops and splashback panels. The WC areas were also improved with new vanity units, semi-recessed sinks, mono taps, hand dryers and selected cubicle upgrades.
ACI also supplied and installed new office furniture for the open-plan area, boardroom and breakout space. This included workstation desks, desk screens, task chairs, storage pedestals, lockers, boardroom seating and breakout furniture. Electrical and data works were completed to support the new layout, including relocated floor boxes, CAT6E data points, additional sockets, lighting reconfiguration and power provision for the boardroom TV.

The open-plan office now provides a well-organised desk layout with matching furniture, integrated storage and desk screens to support focused work. The addition of glazed partitions gives the space a professional finish while allowing natural light to continue flowing through the office.
The new Teams rooms provide dedicated spaces for calls, virtual meetings and private conversations, helping to reduce disruption in the main open-plan area.
