Project Overview
Advanced Commercial Interiors was appointed to deliver a mezzanine office fit out for Cimcorp at their Leicestershire facility. The project focused on creating a practical new office space within the existing warehouse environment, using a purpose-built mezzanine structure to maximise available floor space without compromising the operation below.
The completed scheme included the design and installation of a new mezzanine floor, staircase, partitioned office layout, lighting, power, data, ventilation, flooring, furniture and branded wall graphics. The result is a functional elevated workspace that gives Cimcorp’s team a dedicated office area while maintaining a strong visual connection to the wider industrial setting.
The Brief
Cimcorp required a new office area that could be integrated into their existing warehouse facility, providing staff with a comfortable and practical workspace above the main floor. The brief included a mezzanine floor structure, compliant access, office partitioning, meeting space, suitable lighting, power and data, as well as durable finishes appropriate for an operational industrial environment.
The client also wanted the finished space to reflect the Cimcorp brand. This included a clean, monochrome furniture scheme, branded external graphics, write-on wall vinyl and a specification that balanced workplace functionality with the demands of the surrounding business environment.
The Solution
ACI designed and installed a new 58.32m² mezzanine structure, complete with a Part K staircase, 60-minute fire-rated fascia, column casings and a suspended ceiling to the underside of the mezzanine. The structure was designed with a 3.50 kN/m² load capacity, with calculations carried out to ensure the floor was suitable for its intended use.
The office fit out included solid partitioning, toughened glass partitions, laminated doors, skirting, a black suspended ceiling, LED lighting, emergency lighting, data cabling, power sockets, panel heaters and ventilation. A durable rubber floor finish was selected instead of standard office carpet to provide improved longevity within the working environment.
The Final Outcome
The finished mezzanine office provides Cimcorp with a smart, practical and clearly defined workspace within their warehouse facility. The new office layout includes open plan desks, a meeting room, storage, monitor arms, desktop power and a write-on wall surface, helping to create an efficient working environment for the team.
Externally, the mezzanine has been finished with bold Cimcorp wall graphics, clean black detailing and branded colours that make the structure feel like a considered part of the wider facility. The final result is a professional office fit out that combines structural practicality, durable finishes and strong brand presentation within an industrial setting.
