Steel Partitioning & Clean Room Installation for Molymer Moulding Services

Advanced Commercial Interiors completed a clean room partitioning and fit-out project for Molymer Moulding Services Ltd.

The project involved the creation of a new machine enclosure within an existing industrial facility, forming a dedicated clean room area with a main chamber, changing room and controlled access points.

ACI delivered a complete package of works, including double skin steel partitioning, glazed steel panels, single and double access doors, suspended ceilings, ceiling void insulation, safety vinyl flooring, cap and cove skirting, LED lighting, air conditioning and heat recovery ventilation.

The finished installation created a clean, enclosed and practical working environment designed around the client’s operational requirements, while providing separation from the surrounding warehouse space.

Molymer Moulding Services required a new clean room area to house and support a new machine enclosure within their existing premises.

The brief was to create a robust internal enclosure that would provide clear separation from the wider industrial environment, while still allowing practical access, visibility and movement between the clean room and surrounding warehouse areas.

The layout needed to include a large main chamber, changing room provision, access openings, single doors, double doors and glazed sections within the steel partitioning system. Visibility was an important part of the design, with steel/glass/steel panels incorporated into key partition runs.

In addition to the partitioning itself, the space also required suitable ceiling, flooring, lighting, mechanical and ventilation works to support the clean room environment. This included a wipeable suspended ceiling, welded safety vinyl flooring, cap and cove skirting, recessed LED lighting, motion sensors, emergency lighting, air conditioning and heat recovery ventilation.

During the planning stage, ACI produced CAD drawings to develop the clean room layout and ensure the new machine enclosure worked within the existing building.

The drawings detailed the main chamber, changing room, loading gate, access openings, air shower locations, solid partition modules, glazed modules, single door modules and double door modules.

The plan also included ceiling, lighting and air conditioning layouts, helping to coordinate the partitioning system with the wider fit-out package. This ensured that the finished clean room was planned as a complete working environment rather than simply an enclosed partitioned area.

The CAD layout allowed the project team to plan the enclosure footprint, access points and service integration before installation began, helping to ensure the final space met the client’s operational requirements.
